Yesterday we slaughtered and processed around 80 chickens with our friend and Advisory Council member Robert Mosolgo at his Albemarle County farm. Half of those stayed with the Mosolgo family, but Robert donated the other half to St. Dunstan’s. The dormitory freezer is now stuffed with freshly slaughtered frozen birds.

Robert also gave a vocational talk about his journey to faith, as well as his path through software engineering and into dairy farming. He did so as we ate a hearty lunch — incredible beef tacos, featuring Robert’s own delicious cheese and beef from the cow that last year’s Joshuas butchered.

This morning Mr. Fickley is giving the Joshuas an introduction to the history of common arts, after which they will begin their next building project: framing in the basement of the Great Hall.
